Why choose

KAPPA GAMMA DELTA

Jennifer Chan

New York

Being a member of KGD has been one of the most challenging and fun experiences of my college life. I have met so many great sisters that have become life long friends--even after graduation. KGD has also encouraged my growth as an individual, friend, and sister, and I hope future members will be able to make as many amazing memories as I have throughout the years

Being in Kappa Gamma Delta has taught me true leadership, patience, and management skills. It's not just fun and games - you grow as a person, and that's not always an easy process. I learned about myself and others that I wouldn't have otherwise if I didn't take that first step of becoming a sister!

My time in KGD was definitely one of the most precious experiences I had at IU. It's amazing to see these sisters, all from different backgrounds, come together for a cause we feel passionate about--raising awareness of the Asian and Asian-American experiences and cultures. Of course, we had our struggles and differences to work sometimes, but being part of sisterhood meant we didn't have to do it alone. It's the sisterhood that brought us together and it's what got me through the tough times. The relationship you build with these sisters is a lifelong bond. If you're passionate about bringing about cultural change at IU, I encourage you to join KGD and join our mission to continue to raise awareness of the Asian and Asian-American experiences and culture in hopes to close the cultural gap. I found a home away from home with these sisters and I know you will too.

KGD is more than three Greek letters to me. It’s my second home. All the sisters light up my college life, they are my family and they help me understand the meaning of sisterhood. I can be myself in the KGD family, and I feel fearless with them. I am proud to call them my sisters.

Joining Kappa Gamma Delta was a great part of my college experience. I got to become friends with girls from all around the world and through the organization learned teamwork, leadership, and communication. I will always be close with these ladies through the experiences we shared and wouldn't trade it for the world!
